MICROGREENS

DELIVERED FRESH TO YOUR DOORSTEP

Why Microgreens?

Meet the Tiny But Potent Greens!

Stop us when this sounds familiar:

You set a New Year’s resolution to eat healthier. But after coming home from a long day’s
work, sometimes, a mere salad just doesn’t cut it.

You’re trying to lose weight or feel better by swapping fast food for more home-cooked
meals.
But between work, school, and juggling your kids’ weekly soccer/gymnastics/piano
lesson schedule, you simply don’t have the time.

You want to instill good eating habits in your kids by ensuring they eat their vegetables.
But how to do it when they say everything “tastes gross?”

These are the types of dilemmas people face every day. How to eat better and healthier when
you already have a million demands on your time and your wallet?

The good news is that there’s a solution to all these scenarios:

Microgreens

Microgreens are leafy vegetable greens harvested just after sprouting. (Most vegetables we eat are full-grown. Even baby greens are harvested after more time has passed.) You can think of them as miniaturized, extra-concentrated versions of the vegetables you already know and love. (Or want to love.) Miniaturized, because they’re much smaller in size; extra-concentrated, because they are absolutely packed with both taste and nutrients.

Examples of microgreens:

Radish ● Broccoli ● Peas ● Sunflower ● Cantaloupe ● Amaranth ●  Kale  ● Celery ● Garlic ● Corn
Arugula ● Carrots ● Lettuce ● Cabbage ● Beans ● Beets ● Spinach ● Quinoa ● Herbs

(Plus over forty others!)

We know – in this day and age, any new term can sound like just the latest health fad. And
social media doesn’t help. It seems like every week there’s some new influencer peddling a diet
consisting of nothing but kale smoothies and activated almonds. But microgreens aren’t new,
and they’re certainly not a fad. In fact, some of the world’s best chefs started using them back in
the 80s and 90s. Why? Because they realized something important: Microgreens are one of
the easiest – and  most delicious! – ways to add flavor and nutrition to your meal.

Soon after, dietitians and other experts discovered that when it comes to eating healthier, nature
had already done the hard work. In fact, microgreens are basically the ultimate lifehack. That’s
because they are:

Extremely nutrient-dense. In fact, researchers have found that microgreens contain up to 40%
more phytonutrients than full-grown vegetables.1 And many types of microgreens have five
times more vitamins than their larger versions!2

(Phytonutrients, by the way, are what protect your body against cancer and inflammation.
Vitamins, of course, are the essential nutrients we need just to live, not to mention to be healthy and
energetic.)

Check out this short video about a particular anticancer phytonutrient called

sulforaphane found in broccoli microgreens (which we offer):

Super-tasty. Professional chefs often use them as a garnish, but more and more, you can find
them in restaurants and recipes as the star attraction. And because they’re both tasty and small,
they’re more appealing to kids. (This is obviously great news for you overworked moms and
dads begging your son or daughter to finish what’s on their plate.)

Full of other health benefits. Some research has found that microgreens can help lower blood
pressure, lower cholesterol, and make it easier to digest your food.1

What does all this mean? It means microgreens are perfect for:

  • People who want to eat healthier but don’t have time for elaborate home-cooked meals. You can pair microgreens with any meal, whether homemade or store bought. Also, you can use them as a garnish or a centerpiece, and eat them either raw or slightly cooked.

  • People who want better, organic food in their diet but can’t afford to break the bank every week.

  • Parents who want to eat healthier as a family and need something kids will actually eat.

  • Home-chefs who love experimenting with different flavors, textures, and ingredients.

While you can certainly grow microgreens on your own, the whole point of them is that they can help you save time, save money, and eat healthier. That’s where we at NutriGrowers Microgreens come in. We offer locally grown, organic microgreens. Our goal is to make it easier for local moms, dads, and others to eat healthier, better, together. To accomplish this, we’ll even deliver them to your doorstep!

So…want to eat healthier? Want to lose weight? Want to help your kids fall in love with
vegetables? Look no further: Microgreens are the answer!
