MICROGREENS

DELIVERED FRESH TO YOUR DOORSTEP

  • How long does it take to get my delivery after my one time/first time order has been placed?
Approximately 12 to 18 days, depending on the day you placed your order. (Note that our products will always be delivered on Wednesdays.) Why 12-18 days? Because our products are specifically grown-to-order*! Our microgreens currently have an 8-10 day growth cycle, so in order to get you the freshest microgreens, we harvest them within 24 hours of delivery. That means we have to work the timeframe backwards by taking into consideration the amount of time it takes to grow them and the fact that we deliver on Wednesdays. By doing this, we can perfectly time the specific day we need to start growing your microgreens to ensure the freshest possible veggies. That's how it ends up being anywhere from 12 to 18 days for delivery. Here’s a tip: ,If you order on a Friday, you will receive the quickest delivery of 12 days from the day you ordered. If you order on a Saturday, it will be 18 days. Note: If you ordered a subscription, this time frame only applies for your very first order. After that, subsequent orders will be delivered in whichever subscription frequency you selected (i.e. weekly or biweekly). So, if you want to get your microgreens on a faster, more consistent basis, a subscription is a great option! *Read the FAQ question titled "What does "grown to order" mean?" for more clarification.
  • Where do you deliver?
Most of Salt Lake County and some of Utah County. See the map below, but please feel free to reach out to find out if your address is within our 12-mile delivery radius. If you are outside our delivery area and you'd like to get our microgreens, reach out and we can probably coordinate something.
  • What day of the week do you deliver?
Currently, we deliver on Wednesdays only. We hand-deliver our fresh microgreens to your doorstep, ideally when someone is at home to receive them. However, if someone isn't at home, we will leave it on the porch or near your door inside the cooler you’ve left out.
  • Is there a delivery fee?
Delivery fees only apply to orders under $19.99 (delivery fee would be $5), otherwise delivery is free!
  • Are your microgreens organic?
We are dedicated to growing sustainable produce with the best natural practices to bring you the best possible microgreens. That means we don't add pesticides or fertilizers. Our natural growth process is simple: we use organic seed, plant them in high quality substrate with nutrient-enriched water, and add light. With that being said, we are not technically organic certified.
  • Do I need a subscription in order to get fresh microgreens?
No! We are happy to accept one-time orders. However, you can save 15% on each order by choosing a subscription. Plus, you won't have to worry about remembering to order every week (or whichever order frequency you pick) and you'll get the convenience of automated, quicker deliveries with added savings! That way you can always keep eating our superfoods on a consistent basis.
  • What does "grown to order" mean?
As the name implies, you order and then we grow. When you place an order, we add it to our growing schedule and actually plant the seeds for your specific order at specifically-chosen time to ensure maximum freshness. Then, we lovingly care for your microgreens until they are ready to be harvested! As a rule, we will always harvest your microgreens within 24 hours of delivery. This ensures your microgreens are the freshest when you eat them. Not only do you have the health benefits of consuming the freshest produce, but you also have the benefit of your microgreens lasting longer if they're kept refrigerated in a sealed container. Often, when you purchase microgreens at a grocery store (if they’re even available), chances are they were not harvested within 24 hours. For a more detailed explanation of delivery timeframes, please read "How long does it take to get my delivery after my one time/first time order has been placed?" in FAQ.
  • What's the difference between microgreens and sprouts?
Many people have heard of sprouts but not microgreens. Simply put, microgreens are the next stage in a vegetable’s development after the sprouting. This added maturity creates more flavor while preserving nutrients. The microgreens we grow are typically harvested around 9-11 days after the seeds were sown (planted).
  • How long do microgreens last?
If you keep them refrigerated in the air tight container we provide, they should hold for at least 2 weeks, and most likely longer. Do be mindful that produce losses its nutritional value over time, so the sooner you eat it, the more nutrition you’ll receive!
  • How can I incorporate microgreens into my daily diet?
Any meal can be enhanced by incorporating microgreens, whether it be as a topping, ingredient, or garnish! Explore the recipe section of the website we've curated for inspiration. We're sure you'll love adding microgreens to virtually everything.
